Stuff, gear, paraphernalia and what have you

Hey, everybody! We’ve done the major work of getting registered — and believe me, if you were to patronize Target on a Saturday afternoon, you’d understand why we call it “work.” What a nightmare.

Aaaanyway ...

At right, you’ll see links to the registry pages of Target and Babies R Us; I can’t link directly to our registry, but if you click those links, then search on either of our names, you’ll see the goods. Feel free to share with anyone who wants to know!

Couple of notes:

—R. still has to research a couple of the big items before we make our final choice (car seat, stroller, baby monitor), so those will be listed soon but aren’t in there yet.

—We still need Aunt A. to tell us exactly what she’s got to hand down from Sonic and Babygirl; we didn’t know whether to put, like, bassinet sheets and whatnot on the list.

—The specifics do matter on some things (diaper bag, breast pump, babyBjorn, etc.), but certain items are merely representatives of their type — we don’t care about the specific brand of onesies, for example; the color and pattern of the Boppy is completely unimportant; we do need a couple of hooded baby bath towels, but as long as it’s not Winnie the Pooh (haaaate) or some Licensed Latter-Day Disney Character, it doesn’t matter what they look like (frogs, ducks, stripes, the Van Halen logo printed over and over ... whatever!).

Twenty-eight weeks yesterday ... it ain’t the home stretch yet, but you can see it from here!

We are passing down to you:
- Crib
- Crib sheets
- Bassinet
- Bassinet sheets
- Pack N Play portable crib/playpen
- 0-12 month clothes for boy and/or girl
- Swaddling blankets
- A couple of hoodie towels
- Boxes upon boxes of baby and toddler toys and rattles (which Alyna has found and is scattering around our house)

We trashed our baby monitor. And baby carseat is long gone. Our stroller is also trashed.

I recommend a Snap N Go stroller base for infant carseat. Very convenient, but ours is gone.

I liked slings for infants and Hip Hammock for older kids better than the Bjorn, which hurt my back. Lots of people love the Bjorn, but I am not a fan. (Our sling and Hip Hammock are also gone -- too bad for you!)
